报告摘要：

In this talk we will introduce some known results on the amalgamation of Heegaard

splittings in two 3-manifolds and then discuss the change law of the Heegaard genera of the amalgamation of multiple factor manifolds with high Heegaard distance. We show that the Heegaard genus of the amalgamated 3-manifold is determined by the Heegaard genera of the submanifolds and the genus of the amalgamating surface if each submaniflods admits a Heegaard splitting with sufficiently high distance.
